We are delighted to offer small group intensives that make the most of each minute. With a streamlined curriculum and a maximum of four students per class, Maggie is at your side as you immerse yourself in design techniques, explore your signature style, and make lasting connections with fellow sugar artists.

What you'll learn

Softness and movement are the ultimate goals for any sugar flower arrangement. Let Maggie show you the secret to creating large, open flowers with no store-bought stamens. These blooms seem to defy the laws of (fragile) gumpaste! 

Learn to make fully-bloomed sugar flowers using a new hybrid wired/layered petal construction method as well as three different types of handmade stamens. With this simple technique, your arrangements will have the drama of individually wired petals, but without the bulk and tedium.

Create a faux single tier arrangement that includes: Coral Charm peony, Harmony double anemone, lisianthus, hypericum berries, and eucalyptus leaves.

Make your way to the Classroom at Studio A in charming Old Town Alexandria and have a seat at your fully-equipped workstation. After a morning of gumpaste and conversation, you'll have a full hour to stretch your legs. While you're enjoying lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants, Maggie will prepare for your afternoon session. The time will fly and you'll be amazed by what you can create in just three days!

Please note that the Classroom is located on the second story and is accessible only by stairs.

• We reserve the right to cancel the workshop at any time due to weather emergencies, illness, venue availability, or other circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel the workshop, we will issue you a full tuition refund.
